Jasmine essential oil is the most intense floral we carry – rich, warm and famously heady. It is a statement scent: a tiny amount goes a remarkably long way, so it rewards a light hand.
What jasmine smells like
Deep, sweet and exotic, with a warm, slightly fruity richness. It is full and almost intoxicating up close, and softens into something beautiful as it diffuses. There is nothing shy about jasmine.
Simple ways to use it
- Diffuse a single drop or two for a luxurious floral – start tiny, you can always add more.
- Add a small amount to a carrier oil for a rich scented oil.
- Use it as a heart note to add depth to a floral blend.
Because it is so concentrated, use jasmine sparingly. Patch test before skin use, dilute well, and keep it away from the eyes.
What jasmine pairs with
- With rose for the richest of classic florals.
- With bergamot to lift and freshen its depth.
- With patchouli for a deep, sultry base.
